Project 1) Implementation of Legislation on Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights

Senior Research Fellow (One Post)
Up to 31st March 2010 and extendable for two years
Rs.12,000 /- per month + HRA

Essential : M.Sc. with minimum 60% marks in Agriculture Botany/ Botany / Plant Genetic Resources with specialization in seed technology or seed physiology.
Desirable: A certificate or Diploma in Computer Applications or work experience in Computer Applications.
Project 2) NAIP Sub-Project on- “Harmonizing Biodiversity Conservation and Agricultural Intensification through integration of plant, animal and fish genetic resources for livelihood security in fragile ecosystems” for implementation under Sustainable Rural Livelihood Security (Component-3)
Research Associate- 2 Posts
Upto September 2009 to 31st March, 2013, and post are co-terminus to the project
Rs.17,000/-per month for M.Sc. & Rs.18,000/- per month for Ph.D. Degree holders + HRA as per rules.

Essential : Ph.D. Degree in Botany/ Agril. Botany/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Plant Physiology/ Agronomy/ Horticulture OR
Master’s Degree in Botany/ Agril. Botany/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Plant Physiology/ Agronomy/ Horticulture with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from Fellowship/ Associateship/ Training/ other engagements. Published research papers will be desirable.
The candidates should be willing to work in remote areas of Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), Udaipur (Rajasthan) and Adilabad (Andhra Pradesh) districts.
Desirable: Candidate having aptitude and working experience on biodiversity, crop production, and socioeconomic surveys at community level.
Senior Research Fellow -3 Posts
One each for :- Chamba district, (Himachal Pradesh) Udaipur district, (Rajasthan) September, 2009 to 31st March, 2013, and post are coterminous to the project
Rs.12,000/- per month for Ist & IInd year and Rs14,000/-per month for IIIrd HRA as per rules.
16th March, 2010 at 10:30 A.M., NBPGR, Regional Station, Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) NBPGR, Regional Station,(CAZARI, Campus) Jodhpur,Rajasthan; Adilabad district (Andhra Pradesh NBPGR, Regional Station, Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
Master’s Degree in Botany/ Agril. Botany/ Plant genetic Resources/ Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ Plant Physiology/ Agronomy/ Horticulture
The candidates should be willing to work in remote areas of Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), Udaipur (Rajasthan) and Adilabad (Andhra Pradesh) districts for the duration of the project. The candidate should indicate the post with the name of the district for which he/her should be considered.

Project 2)“Biochemical and Molecular Characterisation of Genetic Resources of Amaranth and Buckwheat”
Senior Research Fellow – 1 Post
Upto February, 2013 (Three Years)
Rs.14,000/- +HRA 15th March, 2010 at 10:30 A.M., NBPGR (New Building), Pusa Campus, New Delhi – 110012.
Essential : M.Sc. with minimum 60% marks in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Analytical chemistry/Life Sciences with two years experience in biochemical/molecular biology techniques and analytical equipments like GLC, HPLC etc or experience in analytical biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
Terms & Conditions :-
1. Upper age limit for SRFs :- 35 years for men & age limit for RAs:- 40 years for men. Age limits are relaxable for SC, ST and OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms. Age limit for women candidates is relaxed by 5 years for above post.
2. Only the candidates with 60% and above marks in M.Sc. are eligible to appear in the interview for the posts of SRFs.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. The date of interview is as mentioned above. The candidates should reach NBPGR, Pusa Campus, New Delhi by 10:00 AM.
5. 3% vacancy of RAs / SRFs will be reserved for persons with disabilities as per rules.
6. Candidates should bring along their bio-data, original marks Sheets, certificates, photograph and other testimonials for verification and submit an attested copy of the same along with the application form. Mention clearly on top of the form the post and name of project applied for.
7. The selected candidates will be medically examined and an engagement offer will be issued which will be followed by the joining reports, copies of which may be sent to the concerned Drawing & Disbursing Officer (DDO), Finance & Accounts Officer and the Nodal/ Controlling Officer of the Scheme such as Assistant Director General (ADG) concerned. The fee for medical examination will be reimbursed by the Institute / SAU concerned.
