Biotechnology offers significant economic and environmental opportunities, including the potential to play a key role in increasing agricultural production and improving food security. Biotechnology and technology transfer have come to the forefront of media coverage and governmental policies. These issues have clear implication on the life of every citizen around the world.

Biotechnology Research and Training Cell (BRTC), JECRC has designed and developed the Training and Dissertation Programs. Using our vast resources and experience in Biotechnology, BRTC has developed projects that will be tailored to suit individual skill levels.

The aims and objectives of the Training and Dissertation Programs are to provide hands-on training to learn and apply a wide variety techniques in problem solving exercises.

The thrust area in the BRTC are as follows:

• Microbiology
• Molecular Biology
• Plant Biotechnology
• Environmental Biotechnology
